The Six-Foot Smokey Bear:
Our six-foot, three-dimensional Smokey Bear is an impressive life-sized figure, weighing around 225 pounds. You will find him in several locations across the country on our Where's Smokey page.
He is constructed of fiberglass around an interior steel frame that is welded to the base plate and internally bonded to the exterior fiberglass. Each Smokey Bear is then individually hand painted with 100% exterior acrylic paints and clear coated with a water-based, acrylic co-polymer topcoat. This topcoat is specially formulated to provide ultraviolet ray protection to painted surfaces. This clear coat helps to prevent color degradation, especially in areas where there is long-term exposure to sunlight.
The base for Smokey Bear is also a heavy-duty fiberglass shell that comes in two options. One option is a stationary base with bolts and a stem anchor. The stem anchor is placed in concrete. For additional security, it is recommended that the nuts are welded to the steel base plate. However, if you need Smokey to be removable from the stationary base, a security-locking device can be used instead. The second base option is a mobile platform with casters. This option works well when Smokey needs to be moved within a facility or to different sites, such as for educational talks, events, or presentations.
Each Smokey Bear is uniquely numbered with an engraved, brass plaque.

Let Smokey Bear tell you which way the wind is blowing! Our 24 inch tall Smokey Bear weathervane is made of laser-cut, powder-coated aluminum. Smokey Bear's image is created on both sides with high-quality vinyl. The stem assembly and the two-piece directional arrows are also made of aluminum. The letters are made of high-quality, reflective vinyl. The entire assembly stands approximately 36 inches tall. Adjustable roof mounts are available and sold separately.
